2024 has been an up and down year for a lot of clubs and players in what has been another incredible year of football. After another incredible year of football, I've decided to pick my best teams both in the Premier League and the world.
PREMIER LEAGUE TEAM OF THE YEAR

GK: DAVID RAYA (ARSENAL) - Raya was the best keeper in 2024 in a year where he firmly established himself as Arsenal's no.1 keeper. He won the golden glove last season and has carried that form into this season by making lots of important saves.
RB: PEDRO PORRO (TOTTENHAM) - Not many right backs stood out in 2024 but if there was who did, it was Pedro Porro. He was a constant threat down the right hand side all year round for Spurs with his deliveries into the box and ability to both create and score goals.
CB: VIRGIL VAN DIJK (LIVERPOOL) - Van Dijk was back to his brilliant best in 2024 as he was rock solid at the back right throughout the year. The reds were a stronger team defensively when he was in it because of his leadership and calmness.
CB: WILLIAM SALIBA (ARSENAL) - Saliba was arguably the best central defender of the year as he was rock solid right throughout the year. His partnership with Gabriel was key to Arsenal pushing City all the way last season and the Gunners are a better team defensively when he's in it.
LB: ANTONEE ROBINSON (FULHAM) - Not many left back's stood out in 2024 but if there was one who did, it was Robinson. The USA full back slowly became one of the best full backs this year by being effective both defensively and offensively. If he carries his good form into the new year, it won't be long till some of the big clubs start chasing him.
CDM: DECLAN RICE (ARSENAL) - Rice has made such a difference since joining Arsenal last year and they're a better team because of him. His leadership, energy and tenacity were key in Arsenal pushing City all the way last season and he's carried those performances into this season.
CM: MARTIN ODEGAARD (ARSENAL) - Odegaard is the player that makes Arsenal tick because of his ability to create and run the show from midfield. His contributions and performances played a key role in Arsenal pushing City all the way last season and although he was out injured for a month, he still deserves a place in this team.
CM: ALEXIS MAC ALLISTER (LIVERPOOL) - Mac Allister has been one of Liverpool's main men this year because of his energy and ability to create from deep. He ended last season very strongly and has carried that form into this season under the new manager.
RW: BUKAYO SAKA (ARSENAL) - Saka keeps getting better and better year after year and in 2024, he took his game to another level. He had his best season for goals last season and is already in double figures for assists this season.
LW: COLE PALMER (CHELSEA) - Palmer just had to be in this team because of the incredible year he has had. Only Erling Haaland scored more goals than him in 2024 and without him, Chelsea would not be where they are.
ST: ERLING HAALAND (MAN CITY) - City might've ended the year poorly, but Haaland still had another goal laden year as he scored more than any other player. He won another golden boot last season as City won their fourth title on the spin and is again in the mix for the golden boot this season.
WORLD TEAM OF THE YEAR

GK: EMILIANO MARTINEZ (ASTON VILLA/ARGENTINA) - Martinez won the Yashin trophy this year and deservedly so. His important and crucial saves were key to Villa qualifying for the Champions League last season, and they proved the same for Argentina as he helped them win another Copa America.
RB: DANI CARVAJAL (REAL MADRID/SPAIN) - He may be currently out with an ACL injury, but Carvajal still deserves to be in this team. His solid performances in defence played a key role in Real Madrid winning La Liga and the Champions League last season, the latter of which he scored in the final. He repeated those performances on the international stage as Spain won the Euros.
CB: ANTONIO RUDIGER (REAL MADRID/GERMANY) - Rudiger was solid at the back right throughout 2024 for both club and country. His solid performances played a key role in Real Madrid winning both La Liga and the Champions League last season, and he was solid for Germany for the Euros as well.
CB: WILLIAM SALIBA (ARSENAL/FRANCE) - Saliba put himself among the best centre backs in Europe this year after some impressive performances for both club and country. His solid performances at the back for Arsenal were key in them pushing City all the way in the Premier League, and he was solid at the Euros as France reached the semi finals.
LB: FERLAND MENDY (REAL MADRID/FRANCE) - Mendy is one of the most underrated full backs in Europe as he doesn't get a lot credit. It's about time we give him some. He was solid at the back right throughout the year as he won La Liga and the Champions League with Real Madrid, both of which he played a key [art in.
RW: LAMINE YAMAL (BARCELONA/SPAIN) - 2024 was Yamal's breakthrough year as he became a regular for both Barcelona and Spain. He impressed for Barca all year round and was named young player of the tournament at the Euros as Spain went all the way. He's already looking like a top class players at the age of just 17.
CM: JUDE BELLINGHAM (REAL MADRID/ENGLAND) - He might not be having the best of seasons this season, but Bellingham has still had a year to remember. His goals last season played an important role in Real Madrid winning both La Liga and the Champions League last season, and he also stepped up as England's new talisman.
CM: RODRI (MAN CITY/SPAIN) - Rodri won the Ballon D'or this year and he deserved it as he established himself as the best defensive midfielder in the world. City didn't lose a single game in which he played in last season as they won their fourth successive Premier League title, and he was also the best player at the Euros as Spain went all the way. He's been a massive loss for City since he got injured proving how important he's been for them over the last few years.
LW: VINICIUS JUNIOR (REAL MADRID/BRAZIL) - Vincius was unlucky not to win the Ballon D'or this year after another stellar year for Real Madrid. His goals at the back of last season were crucial to Real winning La Liga and the Champions League, the latter of which he scored the winning goal in the final. He's delivering once again this season as Real are again fighting it out for the La Liga title with bot Barcelona and Atletico Madrid.
ST: ERLING HAALAND (MAN CITY/NORWAY) - Haaland was a goal scoring machine once again in 2024 as his goals played an important role in City winning another Premier League title. City may have fallen out of the title race this season, but he's still scored a good number of goals.
ST: HARRY KANE (BAYERN MUNICH/ENGLAND) - Kane was in fine goal scoring form right throughout the year as he won the European golden shoe last season, and is again leading the charts in the Bundesliga this season. Hopefully he'll get to end his long wait for a trophy in 2025.
