Midweek Premier League Predictions

jonjoward1998

WEDNESDAY:

ASTON VILLA V LIVERPOOL

Aston Villa have been strong at home this season having only just once at Villa Park all season. Their only home defeat came back in August against Arsenal.

But they haven't won any of their last four league games and despite creating a lot of chances against Ipswich on Saturday, they didn't take them all.

Liverpool were made to work for their win over Wolves on Sunday and especially in the second half, where they failed to register a single shot, and Wolves were the better side.

The reds are in the middle of a busy schedule the next stage of it will no doubt test them because of the teams they're facing next. They face Man City after this tough game on Sunday followed by Newcastle the following Wednesday.

With this being a game in hand, it's important that they win here so they have a comfortable margin over Arsenal.

But I don't see that happening here because of Villa having a good record at home, and them being a tough team to play against.

Liverpool will score because of the firepower they have in attack, but I don't see Villa making it an easy game for them.

PREDICTION: 2-2
