Champions League Last 16 Draw Verdict

jonjoward1998

The draw for the Champions League knockout stages was made earlier today and there are some exciting ties look forward to in the last 16 next month.

Let's see what I think of the draw.

Out of all the English clubs, Liverpool have by far the toughest as they'll be facing PSG which has to be one of the ties of the round. Arsenal meanwhile will be facing PSV and Aston Villa will be up against Club Brugge.

There are also two other standout ties and they'll both be contested between teams from the same country. One game will see holders Real Madrid face rivals Atletico Madrid in an all-Spanish tie, and the other will see the two best teams in Germany face off against each other in Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen. Both games should be close and very good games.

As for the rest of the draw, Benfica and Barcelona will face each other again a couple of months and playing out an absolute classic which Barcelona won 5-4. The other ties will see Feyenoord take on Inter Milan and last seasons finalists Borussia Dortmund face Lille.
